Wakaya is about 40 minutes by air from Madi International Airport and about 12 minutes from Nausori Airport. Wakaya Island is surrounded by a protected coral reef and is known for its pristine white sand beaches and azure lagoons.

The Wakaya Club & Spa is comprised of 10 waterfront Fijian cottage suites or bures, including seven private Ocean View Bures, a Garden View Bure, Governor's Bure and Ambassador's Bure. Each one is a luxurious hideaway located just steps from the ocean, and is designed to indulge you in the beauty of the island while providing every imaginable comfort. Each bure offers 1,650 square feet of serenity and privacy, and includes: a secluded rear garden and two covered outdoor decks, bedrooms with ample closet space, a four-poster king sized bed, bathrooms with oversized soaking tubs and lava rock showers, gracious living rooms with wet bar, a double-hammock strung between coconut palms and many more amenities.
The chefs at The Wakaya Club & Spa aim to heighten the pleasure of dining for its guests. On Wakaya Island, the notion of locally grown, organic produce is a given. As you are driven from the airstrip towards the resort, you will notice an abundance of groves and lush gardens. Their kitchen specializes in Pacific Rim fare, inspired by the island's plentiful resources, including locally raised pork, lamb, venison, chickens and their freshly laid eggs and Muscovy ducks and their eggs! The seafood is drawn from the Koro Sea. Pacific green lobster, mangrove crab, tuna, shrimp, wahoo, walu and mahi mahi feature on the daily changing menus. The chefs are adept at catering to your dietary requirements, whatever they may be.
