I'm a transplant of 30 years from New York who's specialized in cruise travel for over 12 years. I've taken over 20 cruises to Europe, Mexico, Alaska and the Caribbean. I've sailed on Crystal, Regent Seven Seas, Silver Seas and Windstar several times and can offer you insight based on my own exciting adventures at sea.
Sailing the Queen Mary 2 on a TransAtlantic cruise was among the highlights of my travels abroad. The ship was without a doubt the destination; the luxurious Canyon Ranch spa and its sparkling pools, dining at Todd English Restaurant, and enjoying the most amazing, well-equipped gym. But disembarking in England and having high tea at the Lanesborough Hotel in London was an experience not to be missed.
Our family cruise to Alaska was also an unforgettable adventure. The breathtaking scenery and beauty of the land is incomparable. Our whitewater river rafting excursion in Ketchikan (in the pouring rain!) in August was a thrill..half the time you didn't know which end was up!

My love of travel has grown since childhood and now has become my life long passion. For over 20 years, I've worked in travel and have been lucky to be in a role where I can help my clients fulfill their dreams. I specialize in luxury cruises and tours and have extensive knowledge of Seabourn, Silversea and Radisson and river cruising.
I have embarked upon several river cruise adventures and highly recommend them if you've never experienced one. My river cruise to the Black Sea from Bucharest to Budapest with Uniworld River Cruises was an amazing trip. All excursions were included, which was a huge plus. I particularly enjoyed Budapest; the architecture of the city is phenomenal. Cruising along you enjoyed a view that few travelers get to experience; how life unfolds along the banks of the river, the mind-boggling cave homes people live in, the trade areas for those who grow and sell their products. In the city, I found the narrow canals particularly impressive, even more so than the Panama Canal. Another fabulous experience with Uniworld was my cruise from Beijing to Shanghai. It gave me a chance to see how many people really lived, in boats along the banks of the river. And appreciate the beauty of the areas not yet over-developed or commercialized. On land, Hong Kong was a city I'll never forget. The sky high, glass encompassed hotels were super modern and afforded me spectacular views of the entire city. Transportation was a breeze, with man-powered pull-carts operating well into the middle of the night. And the bazaars throughout the city offered shoppers great deals on everything you could imagine. River cruising is a wonderful, unique way to experience a new destination and a big plus is there is no motion sickness. Please contact me with any and all questions. I've been a travel professional for over 25 years. Developing a love of travel at a very early age, my first plane trip was at age 6 months. I've visited almost all of the countries of Europe, spent time in Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand, Africa and the Middle East, Canada and Mexico and many areas of the United States. Originally specializing in soft adventure, trekking, white water rafting and exotic locales, my cruise experience began with a trans-Atlantic crossing and has included ferries to luxury ships, barges and river boats all over the world.
A stand out cruise experience for me though was with Crystal Cruises from London to Stockholm. I happened to be traveling with my mother and aunt, and the extent to which they were catered and the ease in getting around and enjoying all the same amenities as those much younger travelers was impressive. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise with my clients and planning special pre and post cruise itineraries and shore excursions for sophisticated travelers. This is something I highly recommend doing in advance to truly get exactly what you want out of your shore excursions. For us, the most memorable port was St. Petersburg. The beautiful architecture of the Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood with its detailed mosaics is a must see. The vast treasures within are simply beyond belief or description; the jewels are breathtaking and overwhelming.
One of my favorite destinations though is India. I spent time in both the north, where the pace of life is comparable to New York City, and the south, where life is a little slower and a bit more humid. The smells of food and spices, the sights: vibrantly colored saris everywhere you look, palatial hotels and beautiful buildings, and sounds of traffic, music and people are a sensory overload. To navigate these bustling cities where driving is a challenge, I suggest a car & driver. The majestic Taj Mahal is done best seen at dawn or by moonlight and the UNESCO world heritage sites should be on everyone's list of things to do. When outside the city and among the wildlife, keep in mind that jewelry is extremely appealing and easily snatched off your person by mischievous monkeys so dress down!

I started traveling with my family at a very young age. The love of travel this spawned brought me into an industry that I knew would foster that love. I've been in the industry now for over 35 years, and have traveled extensively throughout the world. I've been on well over 20 luxury cruises that span all the major cruise lines and destinations. I have particular expertise in Mexico and South America, Europe and the Mediterranean, Hawaii, the South Pacific and of course United States cruises. But for me, as for many cruise aficionados, the ship is the destination. And my most fabulous cruise experiences have been aboard Crystal Cruise line. Our cruise with them to the Panama Canal was unforgettable. The nightly entertainment was Broadway show caliber. And the Caesar_Ts Palace owned casino brought Vegas aboard ship. Another huge bonus for us was the fabulous alternative dining that was available for no extra charge; intimate fine dining restaurant feel, away from the bustle of the main dining room, with different ethnic options and extensive menus so in 12 days, between 2 restaurants, we never had the same meal twice (One tip though, make reservations in advance because the smaller restaurants fill up fast). For anyone seeking the ultimate in relaxation for their next trip, I will never be able to adequately describe my stay in the Maldives. It was what I imagine heaven on Earth would be; the smell of the island and air, the pristine beaches, the freshest foods, fruits and veggies, the most precious & considerate people attending to your every need. Our stay at Soneva Fushi Resort on Kunfunadhoo Island was indescribable. The entire island was your resort; seclusion, relaxation and total escape from the real world was your itinerary. The Six Senses Spa experience left me literally unable to move I was so relaxed! (I recommend you enter with an open mind and leave your inhibitions at the door to fully appreciate the massage experience.) Whether your goal is fun-filled days and nights or a total escape from the everyday, I can help you plan a cruise or vacation that will become a cherished memory for years to come!

I was born in Egypt and moved all over the world during my childhood. I believe this started a love for travel that continues to this day. I have been in the travel industry for over 25 years. During my tenure, I have earned the designation of MCC, or Master Cruise Consultant. I speak French, Arabic, Italian, and English fluently and my love for the romance languages allows me to speak Spanish and Portuguese a little bit. I have lived and worked in Japan, Australia and London, and have traveled extensively throughout the world including Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and South America.
I have been on over 20 cruises so far, and my love for them will certainly get me on 20 more. My experience makes me well suited to match the right cruise line or vacation to each person's unique needs and wants.
Dubai was a recent destination of mine and is a growing point of interest among travelers. It's a shopping mecca, boasting the largest mall in the world including all the high end, designer boutiques you can think of and even an indoor ski resort! I particularly enjoyed the desert safari we took; it was like a roller coaster ride over the red sand dunes and ended with a lovely tented spot in the middle of the desert for evening cocktails & appetizers ("sundowners" & "bitings"), music and belly-dancing and an incredible view of the night sky & stars. I also highly recommend visiting the Sahary Gate Cultural Center where group excursions and video/discussions engage you in cultural traditions, from coffee drinking (sweetened with dates!), to customary dress, to the Souk or open air market where you will find everything from food to fantastic jewelry.
My trip to Nairobi, Africa impacted me in a way few vacations have. The genuinely kind, caring and helpful nature of the native people who came to my rescue a couple of times while I was there, touched me deeply. The Ngong House Lodge, with its rustic, tree house style rooms, completely open on one side to the night sky, and beautifully landscaped gardens, was amazing. I watched the most spectacular sunsets from my balcony and listened to lions roaring in the distance at night. I saw the rarely glimpsed top of Mt. Kilimanjaro by the light of the moon and rode a camel tour in Laikipia, where we stayed at the Loisaba Lodge, by far my favorite. One tip though: I recommend travelers to be in good health and be used to some form of camping or "roughing it". Interruptions in electricity are common and air conditioning comes in the form of ceiling fans. But the experience far outweighs the minor inconveniences!
